Imagine Salon & Spa now has a brand new service and a solution, HENNA BROWS! You may have heard about Henna in the past and its resurgence as a plant-based product is taking the brow market by storm! Hennas botanical name Lawsonia Inermis has been around for centuries going back to Cleopatra times, yes about 9,000 years ago! We now bring this ancient form of coloring art to modern times!

Henna Brows are gaining in popularity and after we have seen the results, we know why!
This natural, chemical-free tinting technique can last up to 2 weeks on the skin (under your brows) and up to 6 weeks on the brow hair depending on lifestyle and your skin.

How it works is interesting, it is done in two stages. In the first stage the stain bonds to the keratin and collagen found in the skin. The dye will permanently bond to the hair until it naturally sheds. In the second stage, the henna then oxidizes to achieve a powdered like effect on the skin. Think about an Avocado that is sliced in half and left, it will eventually turn brown, right? This is the same thing with Henna, the oxidation is important as the application dries to achieve a richer color. Once the service is complete, we encourage not to wet your brows for 24 hours! Keeping your brows as dry as you can ensure a longer-lasting service.

Henna comes in 6 shades allowing your aesthetician to customize the perfect tint. Mixing these shades allows for an infinite array of choices. This means there is a color for everyone! So, what’s next? Book your appointment and our aestheticians will discuss your objective and your desired goal. Eyebrows frame your face, so picking the correct color and shape is very important! After your consultation and choice of the right shade for you, we outline the shape of your brow with a white pencil. The next step, the Henna application, ensuring your brows maintain being kept wet during the application we apply a layer of Henna, and as we rewet your brows, the darker it may become. This is an important step to ensure the correct procedure is achieved.

For a blonde looking for a lighter tint, one re-wet is all that is necessary. For a brunette looking for a darker tint, we may re-wet up to three times. Once it is dry, we then proceed with the removal of the clay-like dye, exposing the most beautiful shape and color of your brows! Once completed you will be given a mirror to have a closer look at the finished service and result. Oh, you will most likely have a huge smile to look at as well! ☺
